Following last year’s sold-out houses in Japan, Vassar again combines forces with Ashinaga, a foundation that has raised more than $1 billion to help children who have lost parents, to present three special performances of At Home in the World in the United States. Inspired by the timeless best seller Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster (VC 1901) and directed by Tony winner John Caird (Les Misérables, Nicholas Nickleby), this unique presentation features the Vassar College choir and young people who have benefited from Ashinaga's programs, and melds the traditions of American choral singing, Ugandan dancing, singing, and drumming, and Japanese taiko drumming. Tickets are now on sale for the June 2015 edition of At Home in the World, but seating is limited, so purchase yours today.
